About the V-Mixing System
The RSS V-Mixing System incorporates the RSS M-400 Live Digital Console,
configurable digital snakes with high quality remotely controlled mic preamps, and a
multi-track recording option (SONAR REAC Recording System). This fully digital
system eliminates the bulk and noise susceptibility typically associated with analog
snakes and replaces it all with Cat5e (Ethernet/LAN) cable or fiber.
The system generates superior sound quality by converting analog inputs to 24-bit
digital streams at the stage via high-quality mic preamps located near the source.
The V-Mixing System then secures the quality of audio signal throughout the complete
system path en route to the M-400 V-Mixer Console, back to any outputs and on to the
limitless splits positions.
The M-400 V-Mixer features rapid recall of scenes, 100mm motorized and touch
sensitive faders, a large bright 800 x 480 color screen, dedicated effect knobs for
EQ, Pan, and Gain.
The V-Mixer console integrates with PCs for remote control as well as
sending/receiving setup data allowing users to prepare channel setups and
configurations before arriving at the venue.
The SONAR REAC Recording System enables recording of up to 40 channels of
multi-track audio from the split port on the M-400 V-Mixer or additional split
location. REAC is a powerful driver protocol that allows the transfer of up to 40
channels of 24-bit audio plus MIDI and remote-control data down one Cat5e or fiber
cable. Simply connect a cable from the REAC split port on the M-400 to the gigabit
network port on your PC for 40 channels of clean, pure 24-bit audio transfer
