Meyer Sound M’elodie Guarantees Clarity at Latin American Economic Forum
The World Economic Forum on Latin America drew a distinguished cross section of heads of state and political and business luminaries to Cancún, Mexico. Mexican President Felipe Calderón hosted a dinner reception following two days of discussions on security issues and collaboration opportunities. Using a Meyer Sound M’elodie™ line array loudspeaker system, President Calderón addressed an audience of top leaders that included presidents of Honduras, Trinidad, Costa Rica and others.
Audio for the landmark event was provided by Mexico City-based SAE Audio, which provided a versatile and powerful system of 16 M'elodie line array loudspeakers, augmented by four UPA-1P loudspeakers. Four 650-P subwoofers covered low end. A Galileo™ loudspeaker management system with a single Galileo 616 unit handled system drive and processing. On stage, six USM-100P stage monitors, four CQ-2 loudspeakers and a pair of 650-P subwoofers provided monitoring.
SAE Audio’s Alejandro Luna reports that feedback on the event’s sound quality has been unequivocally positive, including compliments from Juan Carlos Andrade Juarez, President Calderón’s Director of Audio, who wrote in a thank-you letter following the event:
“…. The response of M’elodie allowed attendees to enjoy the presentations with the audio quality required in this important event…. The President’s speech came across with power and clarity in spite of the venue's challenging acoustics, and the music sounded equally good; neither aspect was compromised.”
Pleased with the acknowledgement, Luna adds: "The M'elodie's output is tremendous for such a compact cabinet, and Meyer Sound’s self-powered design also proved to be a tremendous asset in terms of time saving and convenience. It really made our work easier."
