Apogee Electronics has announced the release of brand-new software for both their Ensemble and Duet. Both are available for download from the Apogee Website. In order to download the software, you'll have to have your Apogee login at hand. If you don't have a login, you can easily create an account and register your product. There are some cool new features and fixes included in the updates. For Ensemble: Euphonix EuCon compatibility added, so it's now possible to control Maestro parameters such as input controls, output levels, and mixer settings from EuCon-compatible hardware. Front-panel encoder selections and level changes are now displayed in an OS X-style "pop-up" similar to those for volume control and display brightness. A preference now offers Auto Launch of the Maestro application when an Ensemble is detected. 176.4 to 192kHz conversion now operates consistently across all revisions. Core Audio latency correction now works as expected. S/PDIF optical connections with Macs now support 96kHz. For Duet: It is now possible to control Maestro parameters such as input controls, output levels, and mixer settings from EuCon-compatible hardware. Implemented a work-around to avoid a jump in output level when opening Steinberg audio applications. The pop-up now runs consistently.
