Teaching Music with Reason has been a popular tool for teachers wanting to teach composition and music production. Based around a specially adapted version of Reason, Teaching Music with Reason is a series of lessons that form an introductory level curriculum for creating music with Reason in the classroom. Designed for use in secondary and high school music classes and college introductory modules in Music or Music Technology, it meets national curriculum requirements and music teaching guidelines in many territories. Originally developed around Reason 2.5, Propellerheads has decided against updating the excellent curriculum for Reason 4. Fortunately, they have released the curriculum, including the teacher guide and student workbooks in the public domain. You can now download the materials free! Of course the curriculum is free, but you will still need Reason or Reason Adapted. Reason 4 is available for purchase, while Reason Adapted comes free with many soundcards. - Kelly
