Looking about the same size as your average USB drive, the new Digidesign Mbox 2 Micro is designed for editing and creating on the go. Now you can work on your laptop, editing and mixing music at 24-bit/48 kHz. The only downside is that the Mbox 2 Micro is for editing only since it doesn't have any audio ins. Just one 1/8" headphone jack and a volume control. But it does come with Pro Tools LE and more and is compatible with other versions of Pro Tools. If you're looking for a way to be creative on the road, the Mbox 2 Micro will definitely help your productivity level for the suggested retail price of only $279.From Digidesign: About the size of a typical USB flash drive, Mbox 2 Micro offers high-quality 24-bit / 48 kHz sound, a 1/8-inch stereo output for headphone or speaker monitoring (no audio inputs*), and a convenient volume wheel, providing you with the freedom of true editing, sequencing, and mixing mobility. Whether you’re looking to work on studio-created or live sound Pro Tools sessions on the go, or create loop-based or virtual instrument-driven music, Mbox 2 Micro lets you work wherever inspiration takes you.
