We hate the VAT tax! In particular, we hate the fact that it now applies to online software purchases (from Europe). We hate the idea that we're supposed to act as tax collectors for other countries and keep track of countless (okay, countable) different tax rates for different jurisdictions. But one thing we hate more than the VAT tax is making our customers pay it. We love our customers! So, instead of starting a war over the whole taxation without representation thing, we're going to cut and run. From now on, we're paying it instead of adding on the amount (as is the custom in the US). We (actually, our payment processor) will send the money straight to your government, so they can buy you free colonoscopies and a nice cozy retirement.
