KORG OASYS AND LEGACY COLLECTION RECEIVE MIPA HONORS AT MUSIKMESSE At the 6th annual Musikmesse International Press Award (MIPA) Ceremony, held recently in Frankfurt, Germany, the Musical Instrument/Pro Audio community gathered to recognize outstanding contributions in the industry. Korg was doubly honored for its achievements in product development. The OASYS Open Architecture Synthesis Studio received this year’s award for “Best Keyboard Workstation,” while the Korg Legacy Collection was dubbed “Best Software Instrument.” The OASYS award marks Korg’s fifth win out of six nominations in the keyboard workstation category in MIPA’s six-year history. More than 300 international representatives of music/audio-related manufacturers and distributors were in attendance. In preparation for the awards, 58 magazines from around the world compiled a list of nominees in over 40 categories, from which the final winners were chosen.
